The History Curriculum is presented in in two distinct sections:
- a skills section, entitled Working as a historian, which outlines for each class level, the skills of time and chronology, using evidence, change and continuity, cause and effect, synthesis and communication, and empathy.
- a contents section, which include several topics called strand units which will form the essential content to be covered. Each strand unit outlines a menu of subjects and periods which may be included in the history programme.
